Audit Fees
Applicant Standards Development Organisations (SDOs) will undergo an initial accreditation audit, with the audit scale based upon the SDO’s scale of operation.
Thereafter, accredited SDOs will be subject to periodic review audits to verify on-going compliance with ABSDO Requirements. These audits will generally be on an annual basis.
Audit fees are charged at the following rate:
$1,040 per day per auditor, plus expenses and GST.
For Example:
A National association wanted to become an accredited Standards Development Organisation (SDA) to develop a series of Australian Standards.
The National association was required to undergo an initial accreditation audit to determine whether the organisation was suitably equipped to become an SDO. This audit was carried out by ABSDO and took 1 ½ days.
The audit report cleared the association to proceed. The association listed five Australian Standards they would like to develop in the first year of operation as an SDO, accordingly:
Initial accreditation fee = $1560 + GST
Audit fees = ($1,040 x 1.5) + $60 expenses
= $1,620 + GST
The total amount paid by the National association in the first year was $3,180 + GST.
